Every Sunkiss Studios appointment follows the same three steps: book online, sit for a short consultation while your artist hand-blends a formula for your skin tone, and get airbrushed in about 30 minutes. Your color develops over the next few hours — most clients are fully glowing by dinner.

A Sunkiss Studios custom airbrush tan typically lasts 7–10 days. Because your artist hand-blends the formula to your skin tone at our Falls Church studio, the color fades evenly instead of going patchy. Daily moisturizing and short, lukewarm showers stretch your glow toward the ten-day mark.
When can I shower after my spray tan?
With our Signature Custom, wait 6–8 hours before your first rinse. Choose the Rapid Signature and you can shower in as little as 2–4 hours — ideal for same-day events. Your Sunkiss Studios artist confirms your exact rinse window before you leave the studio.
Will I look orange?

How should I prepare for my appointment?
Shower, exfoliate, and shave or wax at least 24 hours before your session. Arrive with clean, bare skin — no lotion, deodorant, oils, or makeup — and bring loose, dark clothing to wear home. That is the entire prep; your artist handles everything else at the studio.
