How does a mobile spray tan in DC work?

A Sunkiss Studios artist arrives at your Washington, DC address with a pop-up tent, a professional airbrush, and solution blended for your skin tone. Setup takes about ten minutes, the spray about twenty, and the tent leaves no trace. Solo sessions start at $179, zone-based by neighborhood, with rapid-rinse formulas available for same-day events.

Washington's calendar is black-tie by profession: spring and fall gala runs, embassy receptions, holiday parties, inaugural-year everything. A mobile session the evening before — or a rapid formula the morning of — means your color develops on schedule and the tuxedo photos hold up. For weddings, our bridal spray tan service adds a trial and a wedding-day protocol.

Airbrush Tan Washington DC — custom, delivered

Most of DC's spray tan options are booths — machines with one setting for eight million people. An airbrush tan is the opposite: an artist blends your formula on the spot and sprays by hand, adjusting depth through the face, hands, and contours so the color reads like sun, not spray. Mobile service just removes the last inconvenience. The 5.0-rated studio experience, the custom blend, the even 7–10-day fade — carried up your front steps.

DC Mobile FAQs

Before we cross the bridge

What do you need from me — space, power, anything?

Roughly six by six feet of floor space and a standard outlet. The pop-up tent protects floors and furniture completely, and it fits in apartment living rooms, hotel rooms, and rowhouse bedrooms alike. Setup and breakdown take about ten minutes each; the whole visit usually runs 45 minutes to an hour.

How much notice do you need for a DC mobile appointment?

For a solo session, 48 hours is usually comfortable, though same-week slots open often — check the live calendar. For parties of four to eight, book one to two weeks out, and for gala season Saturdays or peak wedding weekends, earlier is safer. A card holds your slot; you are only charged after the session.

Do you spray at hotels before weddings and galas?

All the time — it is the most-requested version of this service. We set up discreetly in your room or suite, spray each guest in about 20 minutes, and are gone before hair and makeup arrive. Rapid formulas let you rinse in 2–4 hours, so even a same-day morning session works for an evening event.

Is mobile more expensive than the studio?

Yes, moderately — you are buying the commute and the private setup. Studio sessions in Falls Church run $79–119, while mobile visits in DC start at $179, zone-based by neighborhood. For groups the math flips: a mobile party covers up to eight people for $950, less per person than most DC boutiques charge one at a time.
